We use passwords almost all the time when logging into online platforms. However, something that seems so simple and mundane to use can be the sole reason why a hacker is able to intercept your personal data. That is why it is important to understand how to make strong passwords (a future lesson will talk more in-depth about how to make strong and good quality passwords).
It is important to make your passwords long, strong, and hard for hackers to guess.
When logging into an online site, authenticating a user, etc., it is a good idea to have more than one way for you to authenticate you as a user. This is known as multi factor authentication.
Remember, authentication is verifying one’s identity, whereas authorization is assigning/revoking certain privileges.
