Making Strong Passwords (continued)
Mix Up Numbers, Letters, And Symbols: A good practice for making passwords is using a mix of uppercase/lowercase letters, numbers, and even a few special characters. This adds more variety to your password and increases the strength of it.
When creating a new account online, a lot of websites nowadays make sure that your password includes at least one number, at least one special character, and at least one uppercase/lowercase letter.
Ex. Passwords with a good mix of characters (plus good length!): r54#f3@gHd2Atu8tgf, wh3Nthe$unSets!, 0r@nGuTAnsR()ck92
Ex. Passwords lacking some characters: c0mputer (No uppercase letter or any special characters), TechnoBlade! (No numbers), paSsY (Not really long enough and too well known)
Don’t Reuse Passwords: The Internet offers a multitude of services and chances are that you have a lot of different accounts on your device ranging from bank accounts, Google accounts, and any other websites you visit. When creating new accounts, try to make different passwords for each new account so that you are not reusing passwords.
If one of your accounts gets hacked and the password of the hacked account happens to be your password for a lot of your other accounts, things can go downhill pretty quickly. This is why it is so important to have different passwords for each of your accounts.
